Remote analysis via satellite for forest detection (funded by the state of Hesse)
Detailed knowledge of forest vegetation and structure is the basis for determining the carbon storage of a forest. Precise detection and detailed mapping of individual trees and up-to-date and accurate determination of crown diameter and vital characteristics of trees are significant information for sustainable forest management and conservation of natural and productive forests. Our satellite remote sensing offers the advantage of collecting information on forest areas over extensive areas and monitoring the vegetative development of forests due to its permanent orbit around the earth. In contrast, airborne or drone sensors and on-site surveys observe only very small areas and usually provide the collected data only at a specific point in time.
AI applications
The framework data of the forest areas to be analyzed are entered into the software and transferred to the AI model together with the satellite data.
Digital Notary Office
To make thecarbon reduction certificates generated from forest data collection and analysis audit and forgery proof, we use Blockchain Seals and a “Port of Trust”, a cloud based database application.
